Callie Rogers, 33, UK’s youngest Lotto winner, shared a picture of her newly shaved head on Facebook and looked almost unrecognizable.
Callie looks very different 18 years after winning $2.5 million in 2003. She has blown her fortune and is now living on benefits, but says the biggest struggle is “being herself”.
The now-33-year-old posted a picture of her new grey buzzcut, showed her neck and arm tattoos, and looked very different without her long brunette hair.
“Biggest challenge” in life is trying to “be yourself”,” she captioned the photo.
The lotto winner seems to be loving her new look.
Callie, who is now a mother of four, recently admitted that despite winning $2.5 million at the age of 16, she was now penniless and living on benefits.
According to The Sun, Callie recently received a driving ban after crashing her 4×4 into a hedge while she was under the influence of c*caine.
18 years ago, Callie was working as a checkout girl who earns $5 per hour, her life changed when she luckily won the lottery jackpot.
The teen winner spent her winnings to have three breast enhancement surgeries, going into many wild parties and she spent $424,000 on designer clothes.
She also gave away $700,000 to her family and friends.
In March this year, it has been reported that the lottery winner was declaring “universal credit” despite winning the lotto jackpot in 2003.
This was all revealed when Callie appeared in court on March 25 after crashing her Hyundai 4×4 through a farmer’s fence in Crosby, Cumbria, and tested positive for c*caine. The judge then gave her a 22-month driving ban for crashing her car while on dr*gs.
Last December, she was driving with her boyfriend Jason Fearon, 31, when she crashed into a hedge near the town of Crosby.
A police officer told the court that the couple has tried to flee the scene.
“[Fearon] has then been led to the police van in which he stated, “I told her not to drive”, referring to the female he had been with,” Pam Fee told Workington Magistrates’ Court.
Callie attempted to get out of her handcuffs and was then restrained by PAVA, a compound found in chili peppers that is similar to pepper spray.
“She both said that she was and that she wasn’t the driver repeatedly to police officers,” Fee told the court. “Throughout, her behavior seemed to be up and down.”
Callie has stated that her lottery win sent her on a downward path and called for more protections for young winners.
Shortly after winning the lottery, she met Nicky Lawson, the father of her two eldest children, and moved into a $254,000 bungalow.
However, after five years, her relationship with Lawson fell apart which led her to attempted suicide.
Callie also said that people would pretend to be her friend just to gain access to her money.
There were also reports that she spent $350,000 on c*caine, but Callie has since denied this.
“I got up late and lived on takeaways,” Callie told Closer magazine in 2013. “And so-called mates would come over until the early hours to party.”
“Suddenly, I was a local celeb and people would come up to me in pubs as if they were my best friend and I felt pressure to buy them all drinks,” she said at that time. “I didn’t know who to trust.”
“It was too much money for someone so young. Even if you say your life won’t change, it does and often not for the better. It nearly broke me, but thankfully, I’m now stronger,” she said. “I try to forget the ups and downs I’ve been through and just feel like a normal person. The pressure to splash out and live a glam party life has gone and I prefer it.”
