While weddings can be a whole lot of fun, some events are definitely more stressful than others.
And with so much pressure on the bride to make sure everything goes as planned, not to mention looking her best and trying to cope up with the emotional rollercoaster at hand, the list of things that can go wrong are definitely plenty.
For support, the bride’s squad always leans in to have a helping hand. And that includes some of her closest friends and loved ones who end up being chosen as the selected bridesmaids. But what would you do if one of the few people that you could count on actually refuse to show up at the last moment?
Yes, that’s a pretty daunting situation to think about and it’s a real-life story that one bride simply can’t come to terms with.
One Reddit user has gone viral for sharing the horrifying experience that she endured at her own wedding, thanks to her cancel who canceled at the last minute.
The bride shared an array of screenshots that comprised of conversations between herself as well as another cousin. Moreover, the conversation began with the bride requesting her cousin to fill in for another bridesmaid who backed out at the last minute.
However, the cousin rejected the offer at hand because she felt she certainly didn’t want to get involved in something that would actually make her feel uncomfortable. While the bride tried her level best to persuade, she even mentioned how her bridesmaid that backed out actually wanted to sell her the gown at a lower price point.
But the bride did add how she didn’t have a great body so no one else would take her dress slot because of irregular fits and mainly because they were much smaller than the dress on offer.
On that note, the cousin still stood her ground, adding how she still didn’t want to be a part of the bride squad, just because the previous bridesmaid’s dress was a large size.
Soon, the bride lost her cool and slammed her cousin for her behavior which she felt was irrational, “You’re definitely too fat to be a bridesmaid anyway. I simply can’t believe that I even asked you,” she added.
But wasn’t that too hurtful to say to someone? Was the bride justified in making fun of someone else’s body, only because she didn’t get what she wanted? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
