Singer Zayn Malik and supermodel Gigi Hadid have become proud parents as they welcomed their first child into their family.

Sharing the happy news on social media, the celebrity couple confirmed the birth of a baby girl as they thanked their fans and followers for support.

“Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful,” the 27-year-old English singer wrote in his Twitter post where he shared a photo of his tattooed hand holding onto the little fingers of his firstborn.

“To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding,” the singer added.

“Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine & thankful for the life we will have together.”

The pregnancy rumors first began circulating the internet back in April when a source with connections to the couple claimed that the supermodel was pregnant. Not long after, Gigi confirmed the rumors as she said she was hoping she would be the one to spill the beans.

“Obviously, we wished we could have announced it on our own terms but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support,” the 25-year-old supermodel said.

“Especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to be home and be together and really experience it day by day.”

In the weeks following the expectancy announcement, Gigi regularly updated her fans with photos of her baby bump.

As the Us Weekly reported last month, a source told them that Zayn and Gigi had been “closer than ever” while expecting the birth of their first child.
